Hello! I’m so happy you’ve decided to stop by and get to know the gal behind the blog! Here’s a little about me…
I grew up in a small town in the very center of Oregon. When people ask where I live, I just tell them Bend, because nobody knows where Prineville is (lol). I’m 20 years young, I love cows, I’m an ice cream fanatic, and I love the great outdoors.
Growing up, I raised show pigs and showed at my local County Fair as well as shows in the PNW. I’m a strong believer that farmers feed the world and without them, we’d be in trouble. I come from a family of two younger siblings, 8 and 10 years younger than me. We grew up with pigs, cows, horses, dogs, cats, and ducks. And in case you’re wondering, they absolutely despise hiking unless milkshakes are involved (bribery works when it needs to). I’m a full time supervisor at a Home Depot store, adventuring whenever I have a free minute. My days are long, but I go to bed with a smile on my face every night. Knowing I’m creating the life I want for myself.
It wasn’t until about two years ago that I started realizing that there’s a whole world out there to explore. I think coming from a small town, you’re expected to go to school, come back and settle down, have some kids and some crops… But that just wasn’t me. I love where I come from, don’t get me wrong. I just think there’s so many places and opportunities waiting to be acknowledged.
My only goal? To live 80 years in the next 10. To see what most people only dream of. To make my dreams my reality. And I’m so glad to have you along with me on my journey. Hopefully I can provide some amazing spots in Oregon as well as other states to help you get out and see what this beautiful earth has to offer!
